Fall Campout 2025

The Fall Campout was a rousing success! Both the Wildcats and the Northstars came together for a fire, friendship, and FANCY FOOD!

It was a mexican themed menu, with your choice of ground beef, chicken, or steak tacos. All topped off with what had to be never ending Jarritos.

Personally, I’ve never given soda to my kids, and while the mantra of these kinds of trips are “the dads mostly say yes” and so I gave in. It will be a core memory for sure. Her first soda, in the woods, surrounded by her best friends.

Arrival day was mostly setting up the campsite, and the cooking area. We had fryers, Blackstones, and grills set up. The generator running lights so we could see what we were cooking and of course, tables and tables and tables of space for all the kids.

The award for most unique tent goes to our own Jeremy Morgan, who came with a tent that attached to the bed of his truck. Getting out was a little tricky but it was oddly comfortable.

Day two was filled with fishing, hiking, and a few of us left on an adventure to find a swimming hole. We failed, but ended up with ice cream, so all in all it was a good trip.

When we got back, everyone pitched in and started to haul wood down to the fire pit for the ceremony.

That night we had our bonfire where we re-rooted ourselves with nature and bonded with our sister tribes. It’s always nice to get both tribes together for a big event.

The Northstar girls all decided to pile into one tent for the night. Thankfully they were not up too late. With all the laughing and talking going on, no one would have been able to sleep.

Sunday morning is always a double edged sword. On one hand it’s sad to have to pack up and leave, but on the other hand…everyone needs a shower!
